  1. VPtoVF converts a virtual property list (VPL) file to a virtual font
  2. (VF) file and a TeX font metric (TFM) file.

  4. Given an input file called cmr10.vpl, VPtoVF will create cmr10.vf
  5. and cmr10.tfm.

  7. VPL files are human-readable text files.  VPtoVF can be used in
  8. conjunction with VFtoVP to make changes to existing virtual fonts.
  9. New virtual fonts can also be created.  Virtual fonts map characters
  10. as seen by TeX into an arbitrary sequence of low-level typesetting
  11. operations.  See the OzTeX User Guide for more details, plus the
  12. Help menu item called "Knuth on VFs".

  14. VPtoVF uses the verbose flag to determine how much feedback will appear
  15. in the OzMF window.  OzMF's Default config file sets the flag to false.
